Maybelline Diamond Glow by Eyestudio
I know these have been around for a long time now but I had given away my heart to this quad the day Rati had shared the swatches with us of all the five shades from the range, the grey, copper, lilac, blue and wine too I believe. All of them looked so unsuitable for Indian skin and I did pick up a wrong one from them called gray pink already reviewed. But I was determined to buy this one for a more natural neutral wear and hence more used up as quad with hardly any eyeshadow in there. I think I would be able to finish it off for a change

I must say I was not so thrilled to buy it. I don’t know what it was that attracted me to these considering they are coppery but I mistook them for some neutral wear soft browns with pearl finish. The shadows are all pearly and metallic, with one of them with shimmer and the darkest shade with some soft gold shimmer.
The shadow quad was priced at Rs 375 when released and now has been hiked up to 450! I was aghast to know that and I hate price hikes in cosmetics considering I am already shocked every week by the grocery items prices hike, where peanut butter is now thrice of what it costed when released!
I can’t say whether I am a fan of quads or of single shadows but I would say the quads are more helpful for me to get ready faster than trying to looks for two or three shades in my stash. I like the quad, the sturdy packing, nice dual ended applicator of sponge which will wither away soon I know, the shiny transparent glass packing
The shades are light enough for daily use, the lightest for browbone, the second one is very light for inner corner, the third one for all over lid and the last one for crease.
What I don’t like about the shade is that they feel very powder based, as in all shades feel white+some shade, not so concentrated, the shades feel soft and average pigmented but still not so heavy. These feel very light and I think these could have don’t better in the texture department.
I do need a base for them since they are so soft and light, these would last for three to four hours in my opinion with base considering how light they are they are bound to be ruined by oily lids. All the shades feel very light colored and even the darkest one in brown has to be packed on.
There is no fall out because they feel very light textured. The shimmer is very light in the shades that have them. They do feel velvety but you need a lot of the shadow to show up and hence I think the quantity is also not so great on these.

Last word: I am not happy with the price hike to 450 rupees for these. These are very soft and light and little whitish and the pigment is not concentrated enough to cost me 450 rupees. The shades are not so suited to us and this is the only quad which is of some use to olive skin. A nice copper quad otherwise where one shade can also be used for regular wear. Overall, if you have don’t have some other copper quad in mind, you may try it
